In the 80’s the Querciolaie and Rinascente decided to find new sources of supply, in part to protect the resources at their disposal to Rapolano,
and in part to meet the demands of the markets, especially abroad. For this reason, in 1982 they bought a quarry in Guidonia in the countryside of Tivoli, east of Rome.
Over time, and thanks to the merger of cooperatives Querciolaie and Rinascente, we own 3 quarries from which we extract the more classic materials.
It ‘just a visit to Rome to see that, from the monuments of the ancient city as the Colosseum and the Pantheon, the beautiful baroque architecture of Bernini,
to the modern achievements such as the EUR and the FAO building, travertine is the undisputed star of the eternal city. The unique elegance of Italian stone
and architecture that expressed the essence over the centuries, are indelible testimonies of what we propose.
